IT | Con Treviso Suona Jazz la musica scende in città e porta con sé 100 artisti, e 5 giorni di eventi, dal 30 maggio al 3 giugno 2018. La quarta edizione del jazz festival della città, ideato dall’associazione Urbano Contemporaneo, con direzione artistica a cura di Nicola Bortolanza, offre un ricco programma e una proposta culturale che oltre alla musica abbraccia anche il mondo del cinema e del fumetto.

Spettacoli all’aperto e al chiuso, lungo un percorso che abbina musica di qualità a luoghi di interesse storico ed artistico, con le Big Band dei Conservatori Steffani e Venezze, con gli artisti Italiani premiati Top Jazz, due workshop, un film, una mostra a fumetti, e tanti appuntamenti nei locali del centro con musicisti del territorio.

Si parte con una preview sabato 26 maggio in collaborazione con Treviso Comic Book Festival. Alla Sala d’Arme di Porta Santi Quaranta verrà allestita una mostra di tavole del celebre fumettista Paolo Parisi, sarà visitabile fino al 3 giugno.

Il concerto inaugurale della kermesse, mercoledì 30 maggio a Palazzo Giacomelli, sarà affidato al saxofonista Francesco Bearzatti e al chitarrista Federico Casagrande, che presenteranno il nuovo cd “Lost Songs”.

A seguire giovedì 31 maggio a Palazzo Ca’ dei Ricchi sarà il turno della proiezione del film “Enrico Rava. Note necessarie“, in collaborazione con Soleluna Festival.

Venerdì 1 giugno la musica sotto forma di dimensione poetica, energia e una grande carica espressiva saranno protagonista nella magnifica cornice della Chiesa di San Gaetano, ove si esibirà un duo d’eccezione, composto da Bebo Ferra alla chitarra classica e Paolino Dalla Porta al contrabbasso.

Sabato 2 e domenica 3 giugno saranno giorni ricchi di eventi. Tra le tante iniziative spiccano i concerti gratuiti con tre Big Band in loggia dei Cavalieri, o Auditorium Stefanini in caso di maltempo.

Sabato 2 giugno all’Auditorium della Fondazione Benetton sarà anche il turno di un altro concerto dalle emozioni vibranti, che vedrà protagonista il trio del batterista Roberto Gatto, uno dei più stimati e apprezzati batteristi della scena jazzistica mondiale.

Treviso Suona Jazz spreads the the music throughout Treviso with 100 artists in 5 days of events from May 30th to June 3rd. The 4th edition of the city jazz festival, conceived by the association Urbano Contemporaneo with artistic direction by Nicola Bortolanza, offers a rich lineup of music venues and entertainment, as well as films and comics events.

Outdoors and indoors shows along a path that combines high quality music and places of historical and artistic interest. The Big Band of the Conservatorio Steffani and Venezze and Italian artists awarded by Top Jazz, two workshops, a film, a comics exhibition, and a number of events in several venues of the city centre.

It kicks off with a preview Saturday, May 26th in cooperation with Treviso Comic Book Festival. Sala d’Arme di Porta Santi Quaranta hosts an exhibition by the famous cartoonist Paolo Parisi open until June 3rd.

The opening concert of the festival takes place at Palazzo Giacomelli on Wednesday May 30th. It will be entrusted to saxophonist Francesco Bearzatti and guitarist Federico Casagrande playing the new cd “Lost Songs”.

In cooperation with Soleluna Movie Festival there will be the screening of “Enrico Rava. Note Necessarie” at Ca’ dei Ricchi on May 31st.

The magnificent Chiesa di San Gaetano will be the venue for poetic dimension, energy and enormous expression power on June 1st. The performance in the lineup is by an exceptional duo: Bebo Ferra on classical guitar and Paolino Dalla Porta on double bass.

On Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd June will be full of events. However, stand out free concerts with three Big Bands at the Loggia dei Cavalieri, or Auditorium Stefanini in case of bad weather conditions.

Vibrant emotions with the drummer Roberto Gatto and his trio on June 2nd, performing at the Fondazione Benetton Auditorium. One of the most appreciated musicians in the jazz scene.
